Sara Langdon

Painter

Sara Langdon is an Auckland based painter, passionate about responding to the beauty & detail she finds in the landscapes around her. With a tertiary qualification in graphic design & photography, Sara went on to teach art & art history in an Auckland secondary school before moving to London. This is where she had the opportunity to explore the galleries & museums of Europe before returning home with her family to Auckland. Sara & her husband, Kent, have three children, & they both take every opportunity to photograph the beauty & drama of New Zealand’s landscape.

Sara’s current focus is the volcanic cones of Auckland with the green terraces & craters changing in the light - the way each part of the city brings a new angle on such familiar slopes. Sara works primarily in acrylic on board & paper.
