Robin Ranga

Multi-media Artist

Robin is a multi-media artist, who has won recognition in both ceramics & painting, most recently the Portage Ceramic Award for her breathtaking work “An Offering”, which was her heart felt response to the Christchurch Massacre.

Wood carving was Robin’s initiation into her art practice.  This awakened an appreciation for nature’s precision, resilience & fragility.  Robin works in a variety of media responding to her interest in, & inspiration from, organic form & design. Because “perception is a personal interpretation” many of her works explore compassionate issues. Using art as her conduit through her practice, Robin strives to create an awareness & notions of empathy to provoke responses of compassion, tolerance & hope for better understanding between differences in ideology & perceptions.  

We have wonderful ever changing selections of Robin’s small canvases ‘There is only one of us’, & ceramic wall plaques in the series ‘There is only one of me’. Each plaque is original & unique, hand painted silhouettes of a snap in time, that each tell their own story. Perfect as a gift or for that small space or, just wonderful to collect.
