We adore Harriet’s work (as do you) with her pieces often selling before they are even hung in the gallery. Harriet is a Christchurch based artist & only returned to her love of painting recently after successfully outsourcing her five children to school!  Harriet, who has done extensive work for Barkers of Geraldine, prefers to work in acrylic, after learning the hard way that children like to paint the furniture & walls with her oils.

Hugely inspired by the magic of New Zealand landscape, Harriet's interpretations involve substantial layering of paint with thick loose brushstrokes & hints of unexpected colour. 

We are thrilled to have both original landscapes & botanical works, as well as a selection of prints of Harriet’s originals available, Harriet also welcomes commissions through our gallery.
